Description
Piglets, calves, lambs, and children are given intramuscular or subcutaneous injections.
Dosage:
– Piglets: 100 to 200 mg iron per animal, given by deep intramuscular injection in the back, ideally after 3 days of birth, i.e. 1 ml to 2 ml in a single injection.
– Calves: 300 to 400 mg iron per animal, given intramuscularly or subcutaneously through the dewlap within 3 days of birth, i.e. 3 ml to 4 ml in the dewlap
